Don't take our word for it. Read what our Members are saying about the Real School experience… I give Real School my highest recommendation. I like the owners, the teachers, the philosophy, the facility, and the progress my boys are making. Michael plays in a band with some high school friends and they advanced to the second round of Winchester's Battle of the Bands. He is learning some music theory at the Real School and is really getting better at playing bass.
Nicholas is thriving, too. He plays in an ensemble at the Real School with Michael and just bought an electric acoustic guitar with his own money to go along with his electric guitar. He says the ensembles, recently rebranded as RealBands, have helped him improve much faster than just playing and practicing alone. In addition, the school offers concerts in the Real Room. Julie and I saw the keyboard player from The Cars, the saxophonist from the Dave Matthews Band, and tomorrow the bassist from David Bowie's band. In addition they have professional bands trying to get a break. We especially enjoyed concerts by Enter the Haggis, Guggenheim Grotto, and The Abrams Brothers. Then there are the Open Mic nights once a month, where local musicians come to play, plus Friday night concerts by "emerging artists" (mostly local high school bands). Real School also offers complimentary tickets to concerts; we saw AC/DC at Foxborough and the Neville Brothers at the House of Blues. While the boys are at lessons, I take advantage of the many comforts at the Real School. I chat with Seitu and the other parents, but I also drink the free coffee, use the free WiFi, watch the big screen TV if the Sox are playing, or just sit in a comfy chair and read. Way better than sitting on a folding chair in the corner of a music store. In summary, the boys get a lot out of the guitar lessons, and Julie and I enjoy hearing lots of good music. And the people associated with the school are all good people, fun to be around. Interesting to note that every professional band I heard play at the Real Room made a comment like, ‘The Real School is awesome. I wish I had something like this when I was young.’
- Phillip, Real School parent When I first walked into the Real School of Music, I felt like I belonged there. The colors are AMAZING!!!!!!!!! But aside of that, the tour you have me was fantastic. I really feel like I want to go to the school every day! I am definitely going to try the piano there and see if I get the “spark.”
When you were explaining the whole concept of the groups playing and the lessons and the recordings, I was trying to hold back my smile because I know that if I didn’t hold it back, I would be walking out of the door, my face stuck with a grin from cheek to cheek. This school is going to inspire me to try so many new things. I was really hoping that if my piano comes along nicely, then I would want to try vocals as a minor next to my piano. Would that be right for me? Now that I know that I am probably not going back to my old teacher, I feel confident that my piano will improve gradually until I can do ANYTHING!!! I am looking forward to meet Bill, and I hope he likes me and will help my relationship with the piano. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for the tour! You really connected to what I want out of my music. This school is going to be so cool and really hip and modern, not from the 1700’s : ) I really appreciate your help and if I have any questions I’ll ask them. Thank you again and can’t wait to see you next time.

I just want to say what a great experience my son Alex had at the Real Jam Academy. He couldn't imagine getting up early during summer vacation but after the first day he was ready to go before anyone was even awake! I heard nothing but what a great time he had. My wife and I were amazed at the concert. To see and hear kids, that didn't even know each other before the week began, write and perform original music was incredible. Their band plans to stay together. Again, thanks to you and all the staff at the Real School for a fantastic time.

My daughter had a great time at Real Jams. Seeing a bigger picture of the bands, rehearsal and recording studios was a real eye opener for her as she has only had one-on-one instruction up until now. This was an excellent experience for her and I feel it was money well spent.
I was not able to be at the concert in person, but my family videotaped the performances and I was very impressed. The Real School of Music appears to be a well run organization and a very rewarding atmosphere for the students.

My son enjoyed your program a lot, especially the opportunity to make music and perform it. My husband and I both attended the final concert, and we could see how Andre felt that he belonged; which made us happy. It looked like each one was given special attention (I liked the fact that the teams were smaller in size). We are looking forward to register him to the September session and for our son to be a member of Real School family. Thank you very much.

Nick had a great time at Real Jams! To quote him...’It was really fun, and they had it all together!’ Nick's Dad and I are professional musicians, and we are very pleased with his progress and level of enthusiasm. Nick has been playing clarinet these last few years, and has not had the opportunity until now to play guitar with other kids. He loved it! The original compositions were a superb idea. We think that encouraging creativity brings out the best in young musicians.
Thanks for everything – we know how much time and effort goes into developing a music program, and we really appreciate the positive musical experience you have provided to our son. I might be applying for a job with you guys someday!

James had a great time at Real Jams. It’s all he's talking about! He's been telling me about all the things he learned and his guitar playing has come a long way in the last 2 weeks. Honestly, after week 2's performance I got a little emotional hearing him play, I just couldn't believe that was my son up there. You guys rock at Real School and he can't wait to do it again next summer! Thanks again!

John had an awesome experience. Loved every moment of it. Said it was his best camp ever and can't wait to do it again next year. I think it was very thrilling for the children to release their ‘inner rock star’.
I really thought it was great for him socially as well, since he is an only child and from my perspective it was great to see him interacting within a group. Great job with the concert. It was hard to believe that the groups had only played together for a week and really enjoyed playing together. All in all, I was very impressed with the whole week. I will definitely recommend to all my friends. Thanks so much.
