Real School is the first school in the nation to use this unique, scientifically-designed instructional method based on decades of federally-funded research at the United States Department of Education, the National Center of Student Progress Monitoring, the University of Minnesota, and the University of Oregon.

This innovative method enables Real School to actively track and report a student’s progress through the various building blocks of musical language.

Here’s how it works...

New students are assigned a proficiency level based on their musical knowledge and development. Students graduate to new proficiency levels as they achieve established educational milestones.

As students’ skills and knowledge grow, they receive new opportunities, such as working as part of a band, learning how to record and produce music, performing live and even teach other students.

In addition to being certified instructors, most of our teachers are graduates of Boston’s renowned Berklee School of Music and other similar institutions. And many have experienced professional success and acclaim as touring musicians and recording artists.

The education, experience and passion of our faculty are passed on to every Real School student, in every program, during every lesson.
